Description
Founded in 1858, Osage United Church of Christ has a resilient history. From its original one-room brick building near 10th and State Street to the current location since 1902, it has weathered change. The late 80s and early 90s saw remarkable growth, but challenges followed in the later 90s and 2000s.
In 2004, the congregation adopted a team leadership approach to navigate challenges while fostering a strong community. They introduced "Encounter," a blended worship style.
Under Rev. Dixie Laube's guidance, the church embraces new ministry approaches while staying true to its values. All are welcome to join Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, at 6th Street and State Street in Osage, embodying the UCC motto: "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here."
