Stitch n Sew Cottage

In 1939 the Eastern Iowa Cutting Room was a non-profit organization that cut fabrics for churches and missions. By 1982, Ed & Niva Burkholder with Paul & Dorothy (daughter) Schumann, were asked to take the lead, and Stitch N Sew Cottage began. In 1987, they relocated to their current building. Daugther-in-law, and current owner, Grace Schumann, purchased the store in 2004.

The vision of this business has always been to serve the needs of quilters in any way they can. So you will often find the staff helping customers with color coordinating, marking quilts, or understanding patterns.
