Description
In 1980 there were six ag machinery dealerships in the Missouri county of Knox. By 1987, there was only one: The Farm Shop, representing the fine line of AGCO machinery.
Since 1985, Alan Dixson & Jim Hamm started up a repair shop for farm equipment and decided to start selling shortline equipment such as Great Plains, Krone, Vermeer, and A&L grain carts. Their belief in servicing what they sold helped them grow into a full line dealership by 1987 and they have continued to grow to the present day. Today they sell a lot more lines of machinery than they did in 1985, but they still believe in servicing what they sell.
The Farm Shop sells and services the following AGCO brands: AGCO, Gleaner, Hesston, Massey Ferguson, New Idea, Sunflower, and White planters. Other lines sold and serviced by The Farm Shop are ArtsWay, Great Plains, Landpride, Krone, Bush Hog, Danuser, Landoll, Westfield, Westendorf, KillBros, J&M, Vermeer, and Schulte.
